Overview

Beginning from the small village of Llanfrynach near Brecon, we initially walk through woodland and fields along the lovely stream of Nant Menasgin before gradually ascending up onto open access land and the Cefn Cyff spur. We eventually reach the summit of Fan Y Big by a steep but short climb. After taking in the views of Pen Y Fan and the southern slopes of the Bannua, we continue along the ridge before dropping down along the Rhiw Bwlch Y Ddwyallt and tracks and lanes back to Llanfrynach.
