A local walk starting at the shore, ascending past Kilmahew Castle to Overton and Bromley Muirs, before returning back to Ardmore

Follow the foreshore to Geilston and then minor roads/ farm lanes, past (or through) ruins of Kilmahew House/Seminary and Kilmahew Castle, up to Carman Hill Fort. Take moorland ridge path to Cross Stone on Stoneymollan track. Return to the start on farm/forest tracks past Blackthird Farm and Darleith House.

Local Grade: B

Terrain: Rocky foreshore, paved roads, farm lanes and rough moorland path, very boggy in places. Gradients are gradual.
