Mick Beasley will lead Thurs day's 8 mile walk starting at 10am from, The Elite Sports Centre, Oak Avenune, Arley, CV7 8FN.

Starting from the Elite Sports Leisure Centre we make our way through Arley Woods.

Leaving the woods we head towards Hoar Park Farm on minor roads, turning to cross fields as we near the Farm itself.

We then proceed to Birchley Heath, before making our way to Church End and onwards to our lunch break at the Lord Nelson in Ansley.

Walkers with lunch can eat it in the local rec, directly over the road from the pub.

After lunch we follow the train lines, passing across the golf course and re-entering Old Arley where we end our walk.

The terrain is mixed fields and minor roads, little mud on the recce, but you can never tell!
