Welcome to the Hinckley group. Hinckley is located on the Leicestershire border of the East & West Midlands. Bosworth Battlefield, Bradgate Park, Mount St Bernard Abbey Charnwood Forest, The National Forest and Rutland Water are all nearby. The Cotswolds and Derbyshire Peak district are also short driving distances away.

Walking in and around Hinckley

With so much fascinating countryside and landmarks on our doorstep, we are able to offer a full varied programme of walks and social events throughout the year. Walks vary between 5 -12 miles, with something for everyone.

We have half-day walks on Saturdays, and full day walks, Thursdays and Sundays. Evening walks, often with a pub, are arranged throughout the summer. We travel to the Cotswolds, Derbyshire Peak District and other counties within the Midlands. We also offer Coach Rambles, Pub Walks, and Hotel trips away.

Community

As with many other Ramblers groups, we’re also active in the community – we are members of Hinckley Walking for Health and support the weekly local Walking for Health walks.

We meet on Burbage Common Wednesday and often have 60 walkers over three walks for varying length and abilities.
