Overview

A new walk from Aughton Park Station.  The circular walk will largely be on good tracks and lanes, although we will be crossing a couple of potentially muddy fields.  2 stiles.

From the station, we will skirt Ormskirk town and make our way onto the Edge Hill University campus.  The landscaped gardens and lakes are well worth a visit, and we will have an opportunity to use toilets and have a quick coffee stop (drinks can be purchased on site or bring your own).

We will make our way through the campus and then across Scarth Hill by the water tower.  Then via quiet lanes, tracks and field paths onto Graveyard Lane, across to Moor Hall and back to Aughton Park Station.

We will aim to finish the walk by 4:15 p.m.

Refreshments are available at the Dog & Gun pub after the walk.
