Avoncroft and Tardebigge – 8.25 miles
The walk starts at The Avoncroft Museum. This is a fairly easy walk with just 3 inclines, 2 before lunch, which are low level inclines (neither of us became out of breath when we reccied!!) and 1 quite steep descent down to the canal, where care should be taken. There is a fair amount of canal towpath walking along with some quiet country lanes and fields. The final incline is at the end of the walk, up Buntsford Hill where we return to The Avoncroft Museum.
It was mainly good underfoot when we reccied but there were a few pockets of mud so boots would be advisable. There were only 3 stiles (I think) the rest were kissing gates.
Please park away from the Museum in the additional parking area.

Directions: Head for M42, Exit at junction 1 and then take the 2nd exit onto the A38. This road will take you directly to the museum via a lot of roadworks, so allow sufficient time. Look out for the KFC on the right and a Morrison’s on the left as you get nearer to destination. A brown road sign indicates the turn off to the museum on the left hand side.
Avoncroft is also situated close to M5. Exit via junction 5.
