We are the Darlington Dales and Hills Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Aysgarth this walk follows woodland paths passing the Middle and Lower Falls, before crossing farmland to reach Hollins Huse Farm. An old 'green lane' is followed to join the road at Redmire, from where paths lead up alongside the old railway line then across fields to Castle Bolton. We then head across moorland before dropping steeply down to Carperby and back to the starting point in Aysgarth.
Please note paths can be particularly boggy so proper boots and gaiters recommended. This walk crosses two small fords which might be difficult after heavy rain.
