Overview

From central Forfar, a steady ascent through Reid Park brings us to Balmashanner Monument with fine views over the Angus Hills.  Wide views continue on our descent via good paths and field margins. Finally, we make a circuit of scenic Forfar Loch.

Myre Road Car Park, Forfar. DIRECTIONS: From A94 northbound, exit for Forfar at double roundabout, proceed through town for about a mile, at 1st junction with lights, take 1st left, then immediately left at Give Way to Craig O'Loch Road. Take 1st right at Myre Road, park near Guide hut at large parking area after recreation ground.
