Overview

An easy 6 mile walk in the attractive Cotswold countryside around Batsford. We begin at Moreton-in-Marsh and head out across meadows to pass by Batsford Arboretum, followed by a moderate climb uphill through woods. At the top we join a track to circle round the back of Batsford, with some great views, and then descend to the church, where we will  stop for a snack break. From there we continue, first on a stretch of road, and then across fields back to Moreton.

Pretty easy walking on good paths and tracks. Very few stiles. One quite long stretch of road walking on a quiet road. Slight chance we may meet some livestock. Suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads.

Bring refreshments.
