Descend into the Dean Village and enter the Belgrave Gardens by the gate situated about halfway up Dean Path. We can then do a circuit of the top area and decend again to the Water of Leith. There is a steep climb back up some wooden steps with a handrail but if anyone is unable to manage this they could remain at the top.
We could then cross and explore the Dean Gardens.
If people were keen to continue walking it would be possible to exit on the corner of Ann Street and join the Water of Leith walkway and then continue on towards the Botanics.
