A circular walk taking in some fantastic vistas, whilst enjoying a wildlife rich, open areas of woodland pastures and ancient trees, with an historic deer herd. National Trust Ranger John Beirne will lead this walk across the estate to discover many hidden stories from the past and learn about some of the wildlife. The morning coffee stop will be at Londonthorpe Church where Donna will provide us with drinks and her famous cakes (donation to the church required from each walker). Please bring your own food for a later lunch stop.
This walk includes 2 Stiles and some steep ascents and descents (total ascents 500+ feet). It also includes (optional) steep spiral staircase to the top of Bellmont Tower. Parts of this walk includes areas of the estate not generally open to visitors. Approx 6 miles
