Ben Cruachan is considered by Walkhighlands to be one of the finest Munros in the southern Highlands , with jagged peaks and fine rocky ridges as well as stunning views. The ridge walk to Stob Dàimh makes for a classic circuit around the Cruachan reservoir.
The walk will climb up to the dam at the south of the Cruachan reservoir and, from there, along the west side of the reservoir to approach Ben Cruachan from the south. The route then follows the ridge eastwards to Stob Daimh and circles back round to descend to the east side of the reservoir and back through the trees. Estimated finishing time 5.30pm, back at West Port by 7.30pm.
This walk may be changed to Sunday 23rd March depending on weather forecast.
