Overview

Lovely rounded Border Hills near Broughton. The first part of the walk takes us East then North to the summit of Broughton Heights. Thereafter it seems like an “out and back” walk until we turn East to make an elegant sweeping curved route over the summit of Trahenna Hill before rejoining the outward route. John Buchan (author of “39 Steps” amongst many other books) spent summer holidays staying with his grandparents in Broughton and the countryside inspired many of the locations in his books
