A pre-Christmas seaside stroll. In the morning we have an atmospheric walk along the Thames Estuary from Benfleet with distant views of Kent. Lunch is in Old Leigh with various pub and cafe options, including festive fish and chips. I have booked 6 lunch places at the Mayflower (link below) please let me know by December 5 if you would like lunch.
In the afternoon it is off to Southend with the prospect of tea/coffee, ice cream or something stronger.
Meet at Liverpool Street station for the 9.15 train to Benfleet, or at Benfleet station at 10.00
Purchase a cheap day return to Southend Central (on C2C line)
Possible drop out points at Leigh, Chalkwell and Westcliff.
