Birchen Edge Extra Leisurely Walk

Park in the car park next to the Robin Hood pub.  NOT in the pub car park.  P&D (NT and RSPB members free).

The walk ascends through lovely woodland with a short (very steep) ascent on to Birchen Edge.  It continues along the Edge passing some interesting rock formations and the Nelson Monument.  We then cross the moor (can be very boggy) to Gardoms Edge where there are many neolithic remains.

Please bring walking poles.

Ramblers members from other Ramblers groups are welcome to join us. 

Please wear walking boots and warm waterproof clothing.  Please bring plenty to eat and drink.  Please carry a completed ICE card (go to our website, click Walks, then click What to Bring).
