A scenic and varied mid-week morning walk through the Surrey Hills. Starting from Blackheath Common car park, we take a meandering route southward through woodlands, open countryside and around farms. We'll have a break for a coffee and snack at the Forge Café at the pretty village of Shamley Green before heading back.
The walk is around 6½ miles long and we’ll walk at a moderate pace. It may be muddy in a few parts if it’s been raining recently. There are some gentle ascents and ascents.
In between the footpaths, there's a little bit of walking on country lanes with the possibility of the occasional car, so the walk is not suitable for dogs.
