The walk will rise out of Littleborough and follow an attractive and varied route out onto moorland, and weather permitting rise up to the spectacular views from Blackstone Edge.

As ever, moorland walking in the winter months can expect changeable weather conditions and can be wet underfoot so come prepared with wet-weather clothing and boots. A packed lunch and warm drink to enjoy in good company will sustain you, until you can pop into the pubs and cafes of Littleborough at the end of the walk.

Stiles and some ascents and descents may be encountered. Well-behaved dogs on a lead please.

Meet at the entrance of Littleborough railway station, where there is ample parking, free on sundays. If driving from Halifax/Todmorden, follow Church Road from railway arches then turn left at signs for station.
