Overview

This walk gives a flavour of the influence and heritage created by the Strutt family in Belper. We’ll walk down Long Row with it’s workers cottages, pass the gigantic Strutt Mill on the banks of the River Derwent and walk through the farmyard of Strutt Wyver Farm where workers could purchase milk, meat and vegetables.
After walking through Belper the route is mostly field paths, tracks and some woodland paths. Lots of squeezer stiles. Some steep ascents giving wide ranging views.

If you would like to join this walk please contact the Leader using the email link.
