Bookable - Hopwell Hall and Locko Park

The walk begins at a car park next to Spondon village. We walk towards Ockbrook village where we enter The Moravian Settlement and proceed through part of the village passing several listed buildings. We turn onto a bridleway going past Hopwell Hall towards Dale Abbey. We can stop for a coffee break alongside the bridleway. We walk a short distance along a road that has a wide grass verge, then over fields with a couple of styles into Hermits Wood. We then detour to Dale Abbey where there are bench seats for lunch, then we head for Locko Park where we have a lakeside walk before heading back to Spondon. There are two busy roads to cross and a couple more relatively easy stiles.
