We are the Rushcliffe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Leaving the Star, we head west along Melton Lane, then walk along Landcroft Lane towards Sutton Bonington. We cross the bridge over the main railway line then walk through Sutton Bonington for a short way before following a road which leads to the River Soar. We have coffee at the lock gates (approx. 3 miles from the start) and then follow good field paths back to the Star.
The paths are generally good but at this time of year there will be mud and slippery areas, a walking pole is recommended. Proper footwear and protection are advised. There are several stiles.

PARKING INFORMATION:
The Star has a large car park and is best reached by following the A60 south to Rempstone, then turn right to follow the A6006 for around 4 miles then turn right into Trowell Lane to the Star.
It is approximately 25 minutes drive for West Bridgford.
