We are the Mid Berks Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a leisurely stroll around the Reading University Campus taking in various points of interest including Foxhill House, the Lake, the ice house, the weather station, woodland and the Harris Gardens. Towards the end of the walk refreshments in the cafe at the University Natural History and Geological Museum.
The walk starts by the University entrance (Queens Drive) off the Shinfield Rd near the bus stop. This walk is accessible by buses which stop outside the University. This includes Nos 21, 3, 9 . The 21 goes between Lower Earley and Reading and the No 3 goes from Wokingham and Arborfield to Reading. For those wishing to go by car, parking is available in the University but the charge is £1.50 per hour.
