Overview

Meet 9.30am in Box Hill main car park at the top on the Zig Zag road, nearest postcode KT20 7LB for a strenuous circular walk led by Roger and Liz.  Leaving the summit we descend down the 275 steps to the Stepping Stones where we cross the River Mole.  Flat for a while then a slow climb back up through Beechy Wood and Druids Grove until we reach a fine view point pausing for a DIY coffee stop and then continue through more of Surrey’s countryside and after passing Norbury Park Farm we will stop for either a pub lunch at The Running Horses or a picnic in the churchyard grounds.  After lunch another gradual climb across Mickleham Downs and then down another series of never ending steep steps to join Juniper Bottom which takes us back to the car park.  A challenging and rewarding hike in the Surrey Hills.  If  you would like a guaranteed sitting in the pub  call or text as early as possible and  if you would like to join this walk please text/call by 7pm the day before.  Liz 07443 453567
