We are the Mid Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From the river valley we walk up to the top of the town, passing the senior school and onto Conkwell Grange. From here we reach Winsley and descend to Avoncliff and the canal/river. Depending on the level of the river, we either return by the river or the canal, through Barton Farm back to the station. One steep ascent and descent. Some stiles and possible mud. The route uses, quiet lanes, town streets, footpaths and the canal/river paths.
Sticks may also be useful. There may be livestock enroute. Bring refreshments for one stop. We will be back for lunch.
