Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
We will set off across the common, then round the back of the airport (including some old runway) and head for the Castle Bottom Nature Reserve. There will probably be ponies, plenty of bird life and the odd light aircraft to spot. There are no stiles and just a couple of short ascents. There will undoubtably be some avoidable mud and some unavoidable mud (if it’s been raining).
We will have a short drink/snack stop during the walk and at the end of the walk (around 09:30am) we can enjoy a hearty (or slightly less hearty) breakfast at the Pathfinder Cafe, sitting runway side to watch the planes taking off.
