A walk from the Aircrew memorial at Bulchgwyn, through the attractive woods around Nant y Ffrith and out across the open moors, with good views, weather permitting. Then we go down through fields to the village of Ffrith, with its monumental viaduct. The way back takes us through Nant Wood and Black Wood along stoned woodland tracks, accompanied by the sound of the River Ffrith flowing in the valley below. There are a few short, steepish ascents and some longish inclines with an overall ascent of 1120ft. There are quite a few stiles and of course, expect mud!! There will be 2 stops, one for coffee and one for lunch, so please bring your own refreshments.
