This is the replacement walk for the one I had to cancel in October (sorry about that). However, on reflection the walk is more suited to the shorter day as it is both short and does not include a pub stop.
Starting outside Grove Park Station, we make our way back to the Capital Ring path, where we left it in July. Although there is a lot of road walking, mainly through quiet residential streets, we also pass through Grove Park Nature Reserve, the Downland Woodland Walk (including one of the remaining parts of the Great North Wood), Beckenham Place Park, Cator Park and Alexandra Recreation Ground.
The final destination is Crystal Palace Park, where there is the Brown & Green Cafe, the dinosaur park and Crystal Palace station, where the walk ends.
Please note that there is no pub stop on this walk and that the Brown & Green Cafe was the only visible cafe en route. Best to bring a packed lunch.
