Overview

From the carpark we head across the golf course and bridleway to Nettleton Mill, quite steeply up on a metalled surface to a minor road onto Lugbury Long Barrow, Gouters Mill and again on a minor road to Littleton Drew, across fields and bridleways to Burton. From Burton another minor road is taken to Nettleton, where a bridleway leads us down to a clapper bridge over Broadmead Brook to join a further minor road and then, via muddy wood paths, back to Castle Combe. Some stiles.

Please bring refreshments for 2 stops, although there should be the opportunity to visit café or pub in Castle Combe at the end of walk, if desired.

Some hills and, whilst there are quite a few sections of quiet road walking, mud is very likely on some of the paths and fields, so poles recommended. Stock possible in fields.
