Overview

An iconic Teesdale walk from Langdon Beck along the Tees River Valley to the famous Cauldron Snout cascade.

Terrain: Mostly easy going on well defined paths, including sections of the Pennine Way. However, there are 4 boulder fields to be traversed on the river bank at the Falcon Clints and a steep short climb over rocks up the waterfall itself, which require good balance and flexibility.

Refreshments: Picnic lunch en route. Post walk refreshments are available at the Langdon Beck Hotel. When contacting the walk leaders to confirm participation, please indicate whether you wish to partake of this facility, so that a booking can be made nearer the time.
