We are the West Mendip Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
West Mendip Walkers easy to moderate 9 mile circular walk from Compton Dando (BS39 4JZ). Starting east along the Chew valley, we walk over to Tuckingmill, and from here south, alongside the Bathford Brook. On reaching Marksbury Vale we turn west over open ground and across woodland to Hunstrete. At Hunstrete we walk north westwards over undulating terrain to the outskirts of Pensford, and then on round to the east along the Chew Valley again via Woollard back to the start.
Mainly dog friendly, across fields with stiles and footbridges.
Permission given to park at Compton Inn (BS39 4JZ). Walk starts from here.
