We are the Ramblers group for eastern Carmarthenshire. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A stroll around the outskirts of the village of Cil-y-cwm, known for hymn-writers and drovers. William Williams was a lifelong member of Soar Chapel here and there was an early Welsh school here too.
Our walk is fairly low-level in the Afon Tywi valley, so we can expect boggy and muddy fields. We have some farm tracks, woodland and country road walking too.
After about 3 miles there's an option to return along a minor road to the cars, shortening the walk by 2 miles.
Leaving Llandeilo Station car park at 9:45, or pick up by arrangement at Llandovery Station car park at about 10:10
Parking area by the cemetery - please leave a space here for the walk leader! If no room here for your car, please park considerately on the wider road through the village.
