Overview

An attractive and, in parts, gently undulating 10.5 mile route starting at Lamarsh village hall, passing through Alphamstone and then onto Mount Bures. From here the route goes on to the Wormingford Firs, giving a fine view over the Stour Valley. We will then return along the Stour Valley Path through Bures St Mary back to Lamarsh.

The ground is drying out and much of the walk will be on a good surface. There will be muddy stretches, however, and a couple of arable fields to cross.

Bring a packed lunch, drinks, etc. There will be an opportunity for a pub stop near the end of the walk in Bures or Lamarsh, if desired.
