Overview

via Leith Hill, Holmbury St. Mary and Sutton Abinger: Woodland, heathland, farms tracks, and a  few short roadside sections. Mostly moderate, undulating route with a few short, steep ascents and descents. Walk passes Tilling Springs, headwater of the Tillingbourne Stream. Then follows gradually ascending heathland paths through The Dukes Warren, followed by a steep climb to reach the summit of Leith Hill. A welcome drinks stop with good views towards the South Downs. We then follow the Greensand Way towards Holmbury St. Mary, our lunch stop. During the shorter, afternoon section of the walk there are open views towards the North Downs, especially as we approach Abinger Common.”
