Overview

This is 9 mile circular walk from Newnham through a pretty part of Northamptonshire. We may be lucky and see some late bluebells in Badby Woods, known for its stunning bluebell display.

We’ll start off walking along the Nene Valley Way to Everdon and then on follow other footpaths to Preston Capes. Along our way to Fawsley we’ll find some where to eat our packed lunch. After lunch we’ll climb the hill up to Badby, admiring the fantastic views from the stop! From there we’ll walk through Badby Woods, known for its stunning display of bluebells (which may still be out – bluebells are early this year!).

Before walking the short distance back to Newnham, we’ll stop at the village hall in Badby for a ‘Bluebell tea’ (and cake!).

There is no pub stop on this walk, so please bring food and drink with you to eat along the way.
