We are the Ramblers Northampton. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We'll be starting the walk at The Bold Dragoon Pub in Weston Favell Village. From here we'll be walking to Weston Mill, across the Wetlands and back through Abington Park. After the recent wet weather I have tried to avoid too much mud so we'll be walking on paths and tracks and there will be some road walking. We shall be stopping briefly at the Workbridge Cafe where there are toilet facilities. The walking route is relatively flat, there are no stiles and no muddy bogs or fields to negotiate. There is on road parking in the High Street, Weston Favell or at The Bold Dragoon if you are planning to stay for lunch after the walk.
Expect to see some lovely contrasting views...from the distinctive ecosystem of The Wetlands to the beautiful Abington Park with its squirrels, herons and ducks, as well as some interesting buildings in the village of Weston Favell.
