Our membership area includes the whole of Northampton plus the many pretty villages nearby. Long distance paths cross our area, such as the Nene Way, following the local river. With canals such as the Grand Union, rolling countryside, country parks and woodland, Northamptonshire offers a variety of scenery for walks. Our short- and half-day walks tend to be within a 20-mile radius of Northampton although longer day walks may be further afield.
We offer a wide variety of walks, often on five days a week, ranging from 4 miles to 20 miles. Many of our walks finish at village pubs or tea rooms, which adds to the social atmosphere that attracts many regular and infrequent walkers. We explore a wide variety of landscapes including woodland, farmland, canal side and urban environments. There is also the opportunity to participate in long distance walking holidays and day trips further afield.
