We are the Nottingham Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking
IN SPITE OF NUMEROUS, UNSUCCESSFUL, ATTEMPTS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WILLING TO VOLUNTEER THEIR SERVICES TO LEAD A WALK AND AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE COACH WALKS ORGANISERS, IT HAS, REGRETTABLY, BEEN PROPOSED TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF WALKS OFFERED ON THE COACH DOWN FROM FOUR TO THREE. THESE WILL BE DESIGNATED AS A LONG WALK OF 10-8 MILES, A MEDIUM WALK OF 8-6 MILES AND A SHORT WALK OF 4-5 MILES.
I have proposed to the committee that this item be added to the Nottingham Ramblers' AGM agenda for discussion amongst the membership.
This is a coach walk.
The coach starts from Nottinghamshire County Hall, Loughborough Road, Nottingham NG2 7QP at 9.15am and Maid Marian Way (outside Tesco) at 9.30am

There will be a choice of three walks of varying distance to suit most abilities
LONG WALK - Leader: Dave J and Linda - 8.5 miles
Route: Tittesworth Reservoir, Windygates, The Roaches, Roach End, High Forest, Roche Grange, Frith Bottom, Meerbrook, Tittesworth Reservoir
MEDIUM WALK - Leader: Paul Wagstaff - 7 miles
Route: Tittesworth Water, Whitty Lane, Upper Hulme, Harpersend, Well Farm, Windygates, Meerbrook, Tittesworth Water
Terrain: hilly in places also very muddy. Tea at Visitor Centre. Also pub at Meerbrook (payment by card only)
SHORT. WALK - Walk details on coach details
PLEASE NOTE: Paul will be collecting names and menu choices for the meal on the Christmas coach on 8th December.
The deposit is £5 which he will collect on Sunday
The cost is £25 for two courses, £30 for three courses.
This is for B and C walks on 8th December
BOOKING YOUR PLACE
If you would like to join this walk, please book a place by contacting the Coach Walks Organiser.
Please sign up at least three days prior to the date of walk. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place. Please do not turn up for a walk without booking, as we will have to turn you away.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations received BEFORE 8pm the Thursday preceding the Sunday Coach - NO CHARGE.
Cancellations received after 8pm on the Thursday preceding the Sunday coach will INCUR A £5 CHARGE.
