A medium distance and not too challenging walk in the Perthshire countryside.
From Comrie the route follows a track alongside the River Lednock where it passes the Wee Cauldron and then the Deil's Cauldron although the route to the Deil's Cauldron is still blocked by fallen trees. The cauldrons are quite spectacular waterfalls if the river is in spate.
After leaving the riverside the route ascends Dunmore Hill then a short steep path to the site of the Melville Monument where there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
After descending Dunmore Hill the route follows the Maam Road for some distance before taking a loop back to Comrie.
