Our group covers the local authority area of Strathkelvin District which lies within the boundaries of East Dunbartonshire Council, to the north of Glasgow. The Campsie Fells and the Forth and Clyde Canal are on our doorstep and our central location means that a range of different walking opportunities are within easy access.
We offer a year-round programme of walks covering a range of abilities, from short, low level walks to more strenuous high level walks, including Munros.
We have a high level walk every Saturday and, where possible, a low level walk if there is sufficient interest. In addition, we also run a shorter low level walk of approximately 3 miles in the local area every Thursday morning. We also organise a number of social events throughout the year. Please note, the Thursday walks are arranged a few days in advance and are not included in our online programme. Regular participants are contacted by email or text with details of the forthcoming walk.
