We are the Strathkelvin Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Park at the far end of Balmaha's main car park (chargeable £3.40 CASH ONLY, NO CHANGE GIVEN.) Toilets available (50p CARD ONLY) we set of in the direction of Loch Lomond and the Jetty area, we go up the small hill for an early coffee stop 🤞 some views of the loch and Islands.
We then head down to the loch and cross a field and road to the start of the shoulder ascent, 4 gates here 1 is chained and padlocked, so a quick climb required.
We will gently make our way up the shoulder and eventually merge with the tourist path and up onto the top of Conic Hill,
We return down the tourist path much of which was upgraded at the start of the year, I'm sure many members have not yet been on this, this will take us back to the car park.
The bottom of the shoulder tends to be muddy, the rest depends on the weather that week,
Pace will be gentle suiting all "B" walkers
