Overview

From the car park in Cliffe, we firstly visit Cliffe Pools before heading cross country to Spendiff. From here we walk up the local "hill" (Mount Pleasant) to have a magnificant view of the lower reaches of The Thames before descending to Cooling for lunch at The Horseshoe and Castle or picnic in play ground area nearby.. The afternoon walk visits the churchyard in Cooling before returning to Cliffe. Some mud can be expected crossing fields. The path is mainly level. Map Ex163.
