We are the Dorset 4050 Ramblers. We are a friendly, mixed-age group of walkers.
We will head N out of Cranborne to Boveridge and through Boulsbury Wood heading towards Damerham, there is a short road section before we head south to Cripplestyle We will walk into the forest at Pistle Down to our first Castle of the day , Stephen’s Castle, at Verwood. We shall then walk to Gotham and pick up an old drove way to finish at our second castle at Cranborne. We will return to the village for optional after walk refreshments at The Sheaf of Arrows.
Paths mainly good but may be muddy after rain, we will be passing livestock during the walk and there are a moderate number of stiles.
