We are the Castle Bromwich Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Come and join us on this varied walk. We'll take you through the Cuckoos Nook and Dingles Nature Reserve, then along a section of canal. From here we will pass through pleasant residential streets and a fenced path to fields with open views, before passing through a Park Homes site and up on to Barr Beacon, from where there are wider views and a hilltop war memorial. We will then drop down and return to the start.
The walk follows woodland paths and boardwalks, a canal towpath, [pavements and field paths, with one moderate climb up to the Beacon. There are 2 stiles (1 if you are very slim).
After the walk refreshments can be obtained in the nearby Foley Arms.
