The leader has led variations of this walk on a number of occasions. This version does not actually walk up the Cwm. Given good visibility there will be excellent views.
The walk starts with a long gradual climb along pavements, fields and tracks to Ogmore Forest. Then we descend into Cwm Dimbach before climbing again to the edge of the Pant-y-Wal wind farm. A descent is then made to Glynogwr before returning along the attractive Ogwr Fach valley.
Most of the time we will be walking on decent forest tracks or roads but there will be mud in places. There are some stony sections. There are no stiles. There are two major climbs; the first is around 160 meters in 3 Km and the second is steeper with 170 meters in 1.4 Km. The descent into Ogwr Fach is 85
meters in 0.5 Km on a stony path.
