Dalnacroich – Carn Cruinn  (Strathconon)

Meet 0900 - Start 1000  - Grade C+  - OS Maps 20/25/26   NGR NH324550

Directions to start :-  Left at Dingwall/Maryburgh roundabout, left at Moy Bridge, right at Marybank – 11 miles to Bridgend just before bridge – limited parking.

Walking a short distance on the road the route, mostly on good track, commences at Dalnacroich then 1½ miles through Strathconon Wood with great views of the glen soon opening up.  Now on open hill and ascending gently surrounded by hills there may be a few minor burns to cross. Close to Carn Cruinn with the ruins of Badinluchie in the distance we retrace our footsteps back to Brigend. At this point there are spectacular views of the Fannich, Strathconon and hills further west. Post walk coffee, cake and craic hopefully at the Distillery.
