This walk is a coach trip embarking from Lossie Green Car Park, Elgin @ 08:00.
Pick-up via: Forres.
A moderate 13mi walk on good paths, tracks and minor roads mainly following the Speyside Way.
A shorter 7.5mi walk option is: Kincraig to Inchmarshes.
Insh Marshes are an area of floodplain of the River Spey between Kingussie and Kincraig in Badenoch and Strathspey. The marshes are said to be one of the most important wetlands in Europe. They lie at altitude of approximately 240 to 220m above sea level, and form one of the largest areas of floodplain mire and fen vegetation in Scotland.

Please Note: The ‘Estimated Finish Time’ shown below is when the walk is due to end, however the walk start time can vary due to conditions on the day. On our return journey to Elgin, the coach has a stop-off for ‘refreshments’ therefore we cannot give a fixed time for our return to Elgin.

If you have registered to attend one of our weekend walks but fail to attend a charge of £10 will be levied.
Good walking boots / shoes are essential, gaiters, waterproof jacket and trousers and poles are advised. Bring food and drink for the day.
All walkers must carry some form of ICE (In Case of Emergency) identification. This includes your name, mobile number and next of kin contact name and number.
Toilets: There will be a stop-off on route to the walk and at the end of the walk.
