Overview

Danebridge, Wincle

53.184N 2.05443W

Moderate grade, 8.5 miles Medium walk.
10am start from Danebridge, near Wincle Brewery.

Let’s start the New Year off, and brush away the cobwebs, with something simple but effective, a bit like my good self. From the Brewery, we’ll advance past the Trout Farm to Whitelee Mill bridge, coffee near a farm at Hollinhall, through Ruston Spencer to the Staffordshire Way and join the Gritstone Trail. Cross the A523 again and head towards Barleighford Bridge, with lunch just after and onward to Wincle Grange, using a relatively new bridge over a stream, before emerging near the Ship Inn and back to the Brewery.

If your groups walk is fully booked come and join us, don’t forget to bring a flask and packed lunch, we stop once for a drink and once more for lunch, setting off at 10:00 a.m. with whoever has turned up - so don’t be late. Any queries contact Paul on 07568712197. Let’s go guys.
