This is a circular walk of about 10 miles (I.e. it is a day walk) from Bourton on the Water to Naunton returning via Upper Slaughter and Lower Slaughter. It is a lovely walk; we follow the River Windrush to Naunton, which is about half way. I have led this walk with our group four times before and we thought it was worth doing again. We will stop for lunch at The Black Horse, Naunton, and I need to give the pub an indication of numbers soon. So, without committing yourself for certain, please could you let me know asap if you intend to come, with your email address and phone number (preferably your mobile). What I intend to do is to obtain the pub menu in advance and then phone through our lunch orders on the day before we start. I will contact you if for any reason we have to cancel the walk (e.g. due to extreme weather conditions).
If anyone wants to do either the morning or afternoon walk this is quite acceptable as many people have done this in the past. Please make travel arrangements with others who want to do the same, but let Jeff know so that lunch orders can be organised.
We will not meet at Wood Street, Southam. I propose parking in Bourton then making your way to the Starting Place: the War Memorial, High Street, Bourton on the Water (GL54 2AN) at 10.00.
