There has been a walk in Disley recently, hence the title. However, this route is completely different other than the walk to and from the station.

This walk has 3 ascents and descents over 9 miles so undulates throughout. There are a variety of footpaths - gravel, grass, muddy tracks and including some road walking.  We take in Bollinghurst Reservoir, and a climb to Black Rocks (including the edge) with fabulous views on a good day. Descending, we head towards Cornfield farm where we cross a small stream using a footbridge. We climb the nicely named Sweet Hill to arrive at the Bowstones. From there we complete a loop to bring us round to Cock Knoll and onto the Gritstone trail to return to Disley.

There are a number of  stiles along the route which were in reasonable repair. If it has rained, there will be muddy or boggy sections so boots are advised.
