Overview

This is an easy, flat walk from and back to Doddington Hall where there are toilet facilities and a cafe.  Following an ancient track towards Skellingthorpe, we pick up the old railway track until we reach Clay Lane which takes us into Harby village, where Queen Eleanor died.  The church is well worth a visit.  After a coffee break in the playing field at Harby, the walk continues down a green track and then across a field (which can be muddy and if so, there is a way round the edge), by the side of a wood and past an ancient brick works before walking across the pasture to reach the rear of Doddington Hall.

Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
