An undulating  walk around Drymen taking advantage of both the West Highland Way and the cycling option of the John Muir Way.

From the car park we follow the route of the West Highland Way(WHW) south until we meet the John Muir Way(JMW) about 1 km west of Gartness. We then follow the JMW to Croftamie and take a public footpath north east up to the A809. We complete the circuit past Buchanan Castle in Drymen by re-joining the WHW about 1 km east of the car park.

Local Grade: C+

Terrain: Forest tracks, country paths and quiet lanes. To cross Drymen Bridge, we have to walk along the footpath beside the A809 for about 650m. There are no steep ascents on the walk but the route undulates.
